We are a family-owned business with a love for our four legged friends.  We were introduced to goats in 2002 when we were faced with five acres of weeds surrounding our house.  It was a never ending battle, it seemed.  We decided to buy two wethers (castrated males) who quickly showed us the usefulness of goats.

When tragedy struck one of our boys, we purchased three more to replace him.  With their incredible curiousness, friendliness and extreme silliness, we were soon hooked on them.  

In the spring of 2004, after careful consideration, we purchased some doe kids with the intent of breeding them and milking them.  The possibility of having fresh raw milk was thrilling to us.  We had a great time raising these kids and watching them grow.  

Spring of 2005 came along with the birth of our first kids on our farm.  What a miracle they were.  Then the surprise of another herd being offered to us.  I don't think we ever thought twice about taking the herd it was more about what do we have to do to prepare.  

So here we with our numbers increasing at a surprising rate.  I guess I've exceeded the ten goats my husband originally said I could have by a few.  We are going to keep the numbers small enough to insure quality milk production and safe handling measures.
